General Policy

All donations made to First God are considered final and non-refundable. As a nonprofit organization, we allocate received funds promptly toward our programs and operational needs to serve those in need as quickly as possible.

However, we understand that genuine errors can occur. We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the circumstances outlined below.

Eligible Circumstances for a Refund

A refund may be considered in the following situations:

  • Duplicate Transaction — If you were charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error.
  • Unauthorized Transaction — If a donation was made without your knowledge or authorization (e.g., fraudulent use of your payment method).
  • Incorrect Amount — If you were charged an amount different from what you intended to donate.
  • Processing Error — If a technical error on our website or payment processor caused an unintended charge.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

Review & Decision Our team will review your request and respond within 5–7 business days. If approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method.

Refund Timeframe

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original donation date. Requests received after this period will not be considered. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

Non-Refundable Situations

The following circumstances are not eligible for a refund:

  • A change of mind after a donation has been made.
  • Disagreement with how First God allocates or uses donated funds.
  • Requests submitted more than 30 days after the donation date.
  • In-kind donations (food, clothing, or other goods).
  • Donations made in someone else's name as a gift.

Tax Receipts

If a refund is issued, any tax receipt or acknowledgment letter previously provided for that donation will be considered void. It is the donor's responsibility to update their tax records accordingly. Please consult your tax advisor for specific guidance.
